Neds

Neds is licensed in the Northern Territory of Australia and they were launched in late 2017 so are fairly new on the block. They have a good platform behind them though as the managing director is former Chief Executive of Ladbrokes Australia, Dean Shannon (who also founded bookmaker.com.au too). They famously tried to come up with a bitcoin version of their site where players could trade with the cryptocurrency. But regulators jumped all over that and nipped it in the bud. Still, it was a strong statement over their forward-thinking tech-geared ways.

Other Promotions

Neds isn’t a site replete with promotions, not compared with other operators who lean heavily on them. But once you have signed up you will find the daily and weekly promotions to offer a little something more to your regular betting. Their main focus in terms of promotional value is their Bet Boost feature. This is where you can throw boosts out to increase the odds of a selection at no cost to you. It’s a nice little feature to have to call on when you want to.

Website Design, Navigation and Bet Management

This is the new kid on the block and naturally, they are going to want to grab attention. An orange, black and white theme does if for them. It works in terms of things being easy to read and you can see the list of the main sports across the top of the page if you want quick links to say NRL matches. The layout overall can feel a little clunky and that it because it basically feels like it a mobile setup trying to play ball on a desktop.

It’s not bad but it can be a little awkward if, for example, you are on split screen. Navigation is easy and straightforward enough with the top menus and the side menus steering you around the site. Bet management in the slip was nice and smooth though with the slip popping up as soon as a bet was added. Again though, going split screen on a desktop, it became a little trickier to handle and see.

Horse Racing

The horse racing section at Neds has been done superbly. It is very, very good and users should enjoy it right out of the box. There is a lot of little extras in the horse racing section to enjoy, such as a useful money tracker (which lets a user see which horses are getting the most betting attention), form guides, fluctuations, comments and featured bets. Plus, a super cool speed map. It is very solid and you can also see estimated tote odds and there is great bet control of exotics on your slip as well. The main list of races shows you which have Quaddie’s available. You can also use your odds boost once a day on racing and they cover international racing too. There is also Flexi betting on exotics as well. There's a lot going on.

General Sportsbook

The sportsbook, in general, is pretty tight and solid. There is a good variety of major and what you may deem to be minor sports in there. You are going to find a heavier quote of submarkets and options on the bigger sports like your cricket, AFL and tennis. They do branch out and dip into politics markets and you can see specials as well through the left-hand menu. It probably isn’t as extensive as some of the more established major players out there, it’s probably not as good as their own racing service, but it's workable.

Main Features

If you like throwing together parlays and other multi's then they do offer a good Multi Builder allows you to pull together your bets in one handy place without all of the jumping around. This is only a mobile feature though. There is limited live in-play of course because of regulations but some are on there.

Account Management

Just log in to your account and hit the deposit links and you will see your options which are credit cards, POLi and the longer transfer routes of Bank Transfer and BPay. You can withdraw out to your bank account which may take from 1 to 3 days to clear.

Help

There is a help section on the site which is clear and easy to get around to find answers. You can browse around by topic or just hit a search. They seem to be pretty clear and concise with their support answers available.

Customer Support

If you are still in need of help beyond the help section then you are able to contact them through a quick submission form there on the site. You can all call the customer support from 7 am to 11 pm (AEDT) or probably the most convenient way is to simply get a live chat opened.

Summary

So in summary Neds are new and they are putting a lot of stock into their tech-savviness with their platform cloud-hosted all created by self-confessed digital wizards. Anyway, the horse racing section is well worth a look, it is very strong, one of the best out there.
